About Me

I'm Symmone, the girl behind the camera. I'm a huge fan of Downton Abbey, Spider-Man and Superman, The Hunger Games, Dr. Who, and anything that features a royal family. I also love reading and writing, music, painting, astronomy, my dog Opal, and my best friend (and love of my life) Patrick. I recently spend a month living in Paris where I studied French, which has been a lifelong dream of mine.

I took an interest in photography before my sophomore year of high school and began with landscape photography. I always liked art, but I couldn’t draw the world around me, so I figured I’d capture it. This interest expanded to travel photography and street photography, but I quickly found that portraits were my passion. I officially started my photography business in the summer of 2018 and shot my first wedding in December of 2020. I graduated from SDSU in December 2021 and worked as a journalist before entering graduate school in 2023. I then spent two years working at a catholic elementary school as an EA in academic services, helping students with math and reading during the school year and wrangling my own classroom of kindergarteners during the summer. Last year I completed my master's in publishing with the hopes of being a book editor one day.
